Clergy News: Transitions of Note

As was announced at our diocesan convention, the Rev. Bill Watson has accepted a temporary call as interim rector of Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, Virginia. While he is away, the Rev. Pam Fahrner has accepted the call to serve as interim priest-in-charge of The Episcopal Church in Okatie. Reverend Fahrner recently completed a year as interim rector of St. Mark’s, Port Royal as they completed the search for their new rector.

In Charleston, the Rev. Taylor Smith, rector of St. James, Charleston (James Island), announced to his congregation this week that he will be leaving the diocese in January as his wife has accepted a job in New York. Read the full announcement from Father Taylor at this link.
