Transitions in Ministry Group Gathers for Annual Retreat

Bishop Ruth Woodliff-Stanley hosted members of the Transitions in Ministry group (TiM) for their annual retreat September 7-8,  at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center on Seabrook Island. TiM is comprised of priests who are newly ordained, new to the diocese, or serving in a new role. They meet regularly as a cohort throughout the year, participating in learning sessions, fellowship, and peer support groups. Inaugurated in 2024, this two-year program fosters relationships within the clergy collegium and supports members as they go about life and ministry in new ways. The Rev. Philip Linder, Canon to the Ordinary, and the Rev. Ryan Currie, Canon for Common Mission, facilitate the group.

At this year’s retreat, we welcomed two new priests to TiM: the Rev. Jordan Trendelman, rector, Holy Communion, Charleston; and the Rev. Julia Madden, associate rector for pastoral care and parish life, St. Stephen’s, Charleston. As always, the group would like to express its gratitude to the St. Christopher team for their warm hospitality.
