Support the Staff at Camp St. Christopher This Summer
As in years past, the director of Camp St. Christopher has shared a request with the diocese to help support the incredible group of young adults who will serve as summer staff. These leaders give their time, energy, and hearts to create a faith-filled environment for every camper who walks through the gates. Quite simply, they are the hands and feet of this ministry, and their impact is felt in countless ways each day.
Worshipping communities are invited to sign up to support the staff for a week during the summer. This support can look different depending on how each community might feel called or have capacity. If your worshipping community is able and interested in supporting the staff in this way, please sign up below!

What does this support look like during a signup week?
First and most importantly, camp staff need your prayers for this upcoming season of service. Please pray for strength, patience, and encouragement as staff members pour themselves into long days under the sun. Pray that they may be grounded in grace, filled with joy, and sustained by a deep sense of purpose as they walk alongside campers each day. Your prayers are a powerful way to support them in this meaningful work. Please add St. Christopher and its staff to your Prayers of the People, and if you have a prayer ministry, ask them to remember this team throughout the week.
We also invite you to care for the staff in a tangible way if you or your congregation are able. Throughout the summer, simple items like snacks, drinks, sunscreen, bug spray, and other small comforts go a long way in helping them stay energized and loved. Donations of these items remind our staff that they are supported by a larger community that values and appreciates their service to the diocese and St. Christopher community!
You can also make a financial donation for staff support if you so choose. Donated money will be used to buy a special breakfast or provide a cookout for staff, or will be used for the end-of-summer celebration, where the ministry of counselors is honored for their many gifts throughout the summer. Any donation, big or small, helps us care for our young leaders while they’re here for the summer and are greatly appreciated. Any donation drop off/pickup can be coordinated Meg Cutshall as well.
