Bishop Ruth Woodliff-Stanley visited St. Stephen’s, Charleston on Sunday, May 3, where she preached, celebrated the Eucharist, baptized one member, confirmed nine members, and received two members. Additionally, two members reaffirmed their baptismal vows. Watch the service online at this link.

The Rev. Adam Shoemaker has served the congregation as rector for nine years, but was recently elected bishop diocesan of The Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. His final Sunday with St. Stephen’s will be May 24, 2026 and he will be ordained and consecrated bishop in Long Island on September 19. The Rev. William Coyne is serving as interim rector and the Rev. Julia Madden serves St. Stephen’s as associate rector for pastoral care and parish life.
