Clergy News: All Saints, Hilton Head Island

The vestry of All Saints, Hilton Head Island has called the Reverend Cathy Zappa to serve as interim rector, beginning Monday, September 21, as the congregation prepares to begin the search for their next rector.
In a letter to the congregation, she acknowledges the congregation’s mission “to be a channel of God’s love” and notes that it “has been a grounding principle and prayer in my ministry, as well,” said Rev. Zappa. “What a joy it will be to live into this shared mission together with you, as you prepare for your next chapter.”
An Atlanta native who thinks of the Lowcountry (particularly around Savannah) a “second home,” her most recent call was as interim rector of Christ Church, Savannah during a significant transition. While she feels called to intentional interim ministry, she has served in many settings, from a decade as a canon at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta to ministry in a women’s prison, which she says was “particularly formative.”
She and her husband, Vince, have three young-adult children and a beloved dog. We look forward to welcoming Reverend Zappa to Hilton Head Island and our diocese!
