Two Congregations Announce Justice Collective Fellow

The leadership of St. Stephen’s, Charleston and St. Mark’s, Charleston, announced last week that Emmalie Spina will serve as their inaugural Justice Collective Fellow for the 2025-26 academic year. The new St. Stephen’s and St. Mark’s Justice Collective, sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina, has the aim of both establishing a young adult justice fellowship to help form the next generation of leaders, and respond to the Charleston collegiate communities impacted by cuts to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

Emmalie, a recent graduate of the College of Charleston, continues her studies at The College this year while working also at MUSC. She will work with leaders from the two congregations and the diocese in building the foundations for an ongoing young adult fellowship program that will form young people through justice centered work in the greater Charleston community.
