Register to Attend Learning Day at Voorhees University on Oct. 3
Together with our diocesan Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission, Voorhees University will host our next Learning Day on Saturday, October 3, bringing together members of the university community, alumni, friends and supporters for a day of reflection, learning and celebration. This year’s theme, “The Next Level of Excellence-Embracing from Whence We Have Come,” will emphasize the importance of honoring Voorhees’ history while looking toward its future. Registration costs $20 and is now open at this link.
A central focus of the day will be “Our History and Legacy,” providing an opportunity to reflect on the people, traditions and experiences that have shaped Voorhees University. Presentations will explore the history of St. Philip’s Chapel, the university’s founder and the transformation of Voorhees over the years. Former students, alumni and members of the Voorhees family will also share memories and perspectives, helping connect the university’s past with its present.
The program will also highlight “Our Mission,” showcasing Voorhees University’s commitment to education, career preparation, research, innovation and student achievement. The Learning Day program will feature the university’s academic schools, centers and programs, offering an overview of the many ways Voorhees continues to prepare students for their future.
Learning Day will conclude at St. Philip’s Chapel with a Celebration of Eucharist and Closing Ceremony. Registration will be limited to 100 people.
