Legal News Update

Today, October 4, 2017, Bishop Adams and members of the legal team for our Diocese and The Episcopal Church attended a mediation planning session with Senior U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. and representatives of the breakaway group involved in federal and state litigation resulting from the 2012 division in the Diocese.

As a result of today’s meeting, mediation will take place for an initial three days beginning on November 6, 2017, on all issues between the parties, according to Diocesan Chancellor Thomas S. Tisdale, Jr. As with today’s planning meeting, the mediation will take place in Columbia.
