Diocesan Leadership Bodies Gather for Retreat

Members of two key leadership bodies of the diocese (Diocesan Council and Standing Committee) gathered in retreat earlier this week at St. Christopher Camp & Conference Center along with Bishop Ruth Woodliff-Stanley and diocesan staff. The majority of our Trustees were unable to attend this meeting and will gather at a later date.
The gathering was an opportunity to come together for prayer, fellowship, and orientation as these leadership bodies prepare for a new year of fulfilling the duties of their leadership roles, and collectively work toward the continued implementation of the Strategic Vision of the diocese. It was also a time to meet new members of these leadership bodies who were elected in November at our Diocesan Convention, or in the case of Diocesan Council, by deaneries earlier this year following the restructuring of that group approved at convention. The retreat closed in Eucharist together on Wednesday afternoon.
